I'm supportive of highlighting members' contributions, but this proposal reads too much like a commercial rather than a proposal to contribute to Nouns.
I have been impressed with the quality of Ben’s documentary, and the thoughtfulness of the proposer’s commitment to producing more of them. The vision for the series, though ambitious, could be a valuable addition to the Nouns ecosystem and is worth a gamble. However, I would suggest the proposers remove the emphasis on film festivals as it’s unclear how they will fund the submissions if that piece of the budget is removed. The focus should be on the content.
This is an insightful and thoughtful proposal that showcases the depth of Nouns in an exciting format. The team seems like they are doing good work, let’s make it happen!
I think this series is really interesting and has the potential to reach a wider audience. I appreciate the focus on showcasing real people behind Nouns.
The use of the term "100x the quality" is hyperbolic and a bit much. Given the history of "Behind the Noggles", a tighter edit with more of a focus on the impact of Carella's work might better serve the overall mission of the prop.
I'm happy to see the team adding in a cinematographer to this proposal, and I'm not against the idea of a second documentary, but I think we need to see results from this project before we fund a second. I think the team should first come to the community with a more defined plan for how they intend to distribute and promote the film before seeking additional funding. I would also suggest the team shares some statistics about the success of the first documentary. For example, how many of the 2000 YouTube viewers have interacted with Nouns in some way.
I understand the request to highlight these individuals’ journey, but the proposal still does not provide a clear plan on how to spread the story beyond Nouns’ current reach. I would like to see the proposers clarify a more strategic approach to distribution and promotion for the documentary, such as exploring NFT drops or curated screenings to reach a wider audience. I would also like to see more detailed information about the distribution, marketing, and promotion of the film, especially given its proposed length, to clarify how the project will reach a wider audience and beyond the Nouns community.
The proposal has shown a strong commitment to improvement based on community feedback and I see a lot of potential for this to be a high quality piece of content.
This proposal is another great opportunity to showcase the incredible people who make the Nouns ecosystem what it is. It would also be a great way to increase awareness and interest in Nouns.
This proposal focuses on creating valuable content to be utilized in various channels. It also has the potential to garner new members and foster a wider understanding of Nouns.
The proposal lacks a clear explanation of the intended outcome and the value it brings to the Nouns community. The focus on solely spotlighting Chris Carella feels less impactful than showcasing the wider and diverse stories in the Nouns ecosystem. Also, while the budget is lower than the previous proposal, it still seems a little high. The proposal should outline a clear plan for distributing the documentary and provide more specific information on its impact. I would also consider replacing the Noun compensation with USDC.
The documentary series "Behind the Noggles" is a fantastic way to spotlight the Nouns DAO community and its members. I am confident that with this proposal, the series will continue to inspire people to join Nouns.
This project is well-produced, and the added cinematographer will ensure high quality. I'm excited to see the Carella doc!
I'm always down to support more nounish documentaries. The budget is a bit high for 20 minutes, but I'm interested in seeing what Carella has been up to, so I'm voting FOR.
The proposal focuses too much on the artist and the process rather than providing a clear, concise explanation of the value provided to Nouns. This could be improved by providing more details on the expected impact and reach for this documentary.
This proposal will highlight a valuable member of the Nouns community and is well-aligned with previous "Behind the Noggles" documentary efforts. It would be beneficial to highlight their work within the Nouns ecosystem and the impact of Purple.
The proposed mini documentary on Carella is a great idea and will introduce a new audience to Nouns while also offering valuable information about the history of the ecosystem and our values.
While I value the work the team has put into this and previous documentaries, I believe the proposal could benefit from more details about the film, the team, and why it is needed. For example, a more detailed description of what the film is about, in addition to mentioning the length, would help to inform the community and potentially spark more excitement.
The team is making several questionable choices, including requesting a treasury Noun for 4/5 months of work instead of a full month and it still lacks a plan for how this documentary will be distributed.
While I appreciate the commitment to make this happen, this proposal is not well-aligned with the vision for Nouns. I would support this proposal if it included some more robust and provable impact metrics.
I'm very supportive of showcasing members of the Nouns community, but think a shorter timeline and clearer deliverables would be much more suitable for a prop of this size. I think a better option would be to provide a budget for the first 100,000 USD and then have the team come back to the community after that point with a new proposal.
I like this! I would love to see more content on Farcaster as well as traditional platforms. It would be great to see the doco premiere on Farcaster, with a live Q&A where community members can ask questions directly to the filmmakers. The NFT distribution for the premiere feels like a missed opportunity to engage with the community. We could use a "first mint" approach, where the first 100 wallets to mint the NFT are able to watch the premiere, and then the rest of the mints unlock access at a later date. This would create a sense of FOMO and help drive engagement in the early stages of the film's release. Additionally, we could include some elements of gamification to the NFT, allowing holders to interact with the film in new ways. Maybe a NFT with interactive elements. For example, if a holder asks a question in the Q&A, they could be rewarded with a rare piece of artwork related to the film. Or, maybe a holder can vote on which scene from the film should be featured in the premiere.
I really appreciate the proposers for taking the time to adjust this proposal based on feedback. The addition of a cinematographer is a smart move. It is also awesome that this project is aiming to make a series of documentaries about Nouns community members and their impact. I hope this will make more members of the Nouns community feel seen.
It's a good idea to continue a successful line of documentaries that highlight Nouns' impact and the people within the ecosystem.
Chris has been an amazing contributor to Nouns, and this doc is a great way to showcase his work.
Carella has always brought great value to Nouns and this proposal will likely continue that trend.
The proposal lacks any details about the script or the story, which I believe are important for the success of this documentary. I appreciate the proposers for providing their reasoning but the lack of details makes it difficult for me to understand the value of the work.
The proposal is very well-written and the team has demonstrated that they can produce high-quality content. I am confident that the "Behind the Noggles" series has the potential to attract new members to the Nouns community.
The proposal is well organized and the content seems very interesting, I think this will be a great way to showcase the Nouns community.
The documentary feels uniquely nounish in its focus on community members. I would love to see this series grow into something akin to a web3 version of 'This American Life' or 'Planet Money'.
The proposal includes clear action items that build upon past successful initiatives and aligns with the overall Nouns mission. I believe this will be a compelling addition to the "Behind the Noggles" series.
The proposal aims to bring attention to Nouns by showcasing the passionate individuals behind the community. This aligns with the values of Nouns.
Carella is an amazing member of Nouns, and this proposal will increase awareness and generate a lot of engagement. The production team seems well qualified and experienced from their work on Ben's documentary. The documentary has potential to help attract new users to NounsDAO.
The revisions to the proposal were well-received and it appears the proposer took careful consideration of feedback from past voters. Hopefully this will help promote Nouns to new audiences.
Not a fan of proposals that are only attractive to other nouners. This seems like a highly niche proposal for a specific subset of the community, and it's not clear it will have the ability to attract a broader audience. I would be more interested in seeing a project that leverages existing assets and creates unique content in a more approachable way.
This seems like a great way to help build a wider understanding of Nouns. The proposal also includes a lot of thoughtful details about past efforts and plans for the future.
This proposal seems to be based on previous experience of the proposer with similar projects. To ensure a wider audience, the proposal needs to explain how it will be more than just a 'making of' video and instead show the wider impact of Chris Carella's work, including how it has impacted the broader Nouns community. It could be improved by providing more specific examples, and by adding a more detailed explanation of how the documentary will be distributed, particularly to those outside of the Nouns ecosystem.
We would like to see more detail about Carella’s journey and how it connects to broader concepts within Nouns, such as building and proliferating. The current proposal doesn’t demonstrate enough outside appeal to justify the investment.
This proposal is an exciting step in continuing the "Behind the Noggles" series and would provide an incredible opportunity for Nouns to further build its brand and proliferate within the community. While I'm concerned about the added cost of a soundtrack, the inclusion of a cinematographer is a crucial element that would significantly increase the quality and speed of the documentary's completion.
I appreciate the thoughtful changes to the budget and compensation in Version 2. Chris’s work with Purple is impressive and well worth the investment. The proposal's focus on delivering a high-quality documentary with an eye towards potential future distribution makes sense to me.
I appreciate the time and effort put into this proposal. However, this proposal lacks an explanation of its potential impact on the Nouns ecosystem. It needs to explain the steps taken to make it more impactful.
This proposal lacks clarity and cohesion on the specific vision for the documentary series. What specific insights will Carella provide for the audience and how will the narrative evolve? The 100x quality and 10X speed of the doco feels too hyperbolic.
The documentary focuses on a prominent and influential member of the Nouns community. The proposal is also well formatted and detailed, providing clear information.
This is a great proposal, I'm in favor of it! Chris Carella is a very Nounish individual and this doco will likely have a positive impact on the community.
